1977 Honda CB750A Hondamatic

Back in the 70's, one of the hottest bikes around was the Honda CB750. After a decade of dominance, the popularity of the bike would never fall off the radar among true motorcycle afficionados throughout the 80's, 90's and 2000's.

That being said, the CB750 had a crazy cousin which is the CB750A. "A" as in a clutchless automatic. A 2-speed transmission complete with automotive-type torque converter was used to lure the rider who was hesitant about using a clutch. After only a short run of 3 years, the Hondamatic would cease production due to lackluster sales.
